Ethics Policy

Each qualitative research study focused on the market or competition generates questions about the study's purpose, identities of respondents, and the research firm and clients. Here is our ethics policy on these issues.

Study’s Purpose
Humans at Heart conducts both blind and non-blind research studies. Blind research studies are a standard research practice and may prevent us from fully or even partially disclosing the intent or sponsor of the research study. Depending on the client and project, non-blind studies may be warranted.

Respondent Identity
Participants in our research studies are promised a degree of confidentiality. Our clients cannot contact these participants directly unless the participants have explicitly asked for such contact. All participant information is combined with aggregate data and we never share detailed, personally identifiable information about these interviewees with our clients.

Firm Identity
Humans at Heart always discloses our firm’s identity during research interviews, on social media, or other online interactions.

Client Identity
Humans at Heart protects our clients’ desire and right to remain anonymous.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Humans at Heart simply declines to take on projects that might infringe on the confidential information of other clients.
