A Question a day

What gives you hope?

Set a timer for 5 minutes. This is a fun one to doodle sweet, little thangs. Try it! You don't have to show anyone and it doesn't matter if you haven't drawn since the 6th grade, ok?

What did you learn yesterday?

I love this question, because no matter the day, I will always have things I can reflect on. This one feels more literal for me; sometimes it is lists of little lessons or a deeper dive into something bigger.

If it feels scary, or like a big, hairy, ball-my-eyes-out lesson, I stay longer than 5 minutes. I write until it feels better.

Quick Tips
Set a timer for 5 minutes and:
  1. Keep your hand moving. Write whatever comes to mind; make lists, write gibberish, write thoughts, don't stop.
  2. Forget about grammar and sentence structure.
  3. No crossing out. Keep moving forward.
  4. If you want to doodle, go for it.
  5. If it's scary, dive in.
