The Backstory
Michelle Lenzen--author, educator, and researcher--founded Humans at Heart in May of 2017 to explore the question: how might we use human connection to move businesses forward? Today, Humans at Heart helps companies understand their audiences and refine their messaging. From financial firms and service companies, to marketing agencies and investment groups, Humans at Heart works with companies across industries. No matter the market, the business of selling always comes back to the people; we're all humans at heart.
Prior to starting this business, Michelle worked at email marketing and communication firms, taught reading intervention at a charter school, wrote a marketing book called Car Dog Millionaire, studied improvisation at Second City, and even dabbled in stand up comedy in Brazil. Thanks to her fascination with people, Michelle gravitated towards the human side of every industry she found herself in.
Creative Collaboration
With Humans at Heart, Michelle works with a network of creatives, including UX and graphic designers, developers, writers, marketers, and photographers. Building and executing a vision in today's hyper-connected world requires a variety of skill sets.
